If you are looking to get into SCUBA Diving, you must get proper training. Breathing compressed air may look easy and it is, but it is extremely dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.

The hazards are not intuitive to a non trained diver. Proper Training and following safety rules it can be very safe.

Safety Through Education.

PADI and NAUI are the two larger organizations that provide instruction. Contact your local Dive Shops and do some investigation into what will work best for you.
