Straight Knurl Grip, tighten up the pole sections with dive gloves on.

Properly tighten your spear tip, if you DON'T the set screw might get bent. Per Design, if you do, just remove the bent setscrew and add a new one.
If the design was a typical cut thread you would most likely have sheared it off and lost your tip.
TIP: Keep your spear tips Snug and tight on the pole spear for maximum strength.

Example of Setscrew installed on front of LEI pole spear. Tighten you spear tips to the Radial Mirrored Surface at base of setscrew.
If you do this you will not need to replace the setscrew.
